Selective Adsorption and Photocatalytic Clean‐Up of Oil by TiO <sub>2</sub> Thin Film Decorated with p‐V <sub>3</sub> D <sub>3</sub> Modified Flowerlike Ag Nanoplates

Various methods are developed and used to treat oil-contaminated water, including mechanical separation, chemical treatment, biological membrane filtration, sorption. Oil clean-up via selective sorption of the oil by an engineered surface is most accepted technique due its high removal efficiency low cost. Here, a multifunctional providing highly capability photocatalytic decomposition proposed. This novel named as “three-in-one (3-in-1) surface” since it composed 1) layer, 2) micro- nanostructures, 3) energy layer. First, TiO2 layer prepared magnetron sputtering. Then flowerlike Ag nanoplates photocatalytically deposited on sputtered Afterward, poly-1,3,5-trivinyl-1,3,5-trimethylcyclotrisiloxane (p-V3D3), over-coated Ag/TiO2 initiated vapor deposition (iCVD) while retaining topographical features (micro- nanoscale structures). The p-V3D3/Ag/TiO2 demonstrates adsorption whereas simultaneously shows extreme repellency water. can also be cleaned up this may find applications in various technology fields water microfluidics, self-cleaning, harvesting.
